Alabama JobLink Resumes Total Approaches 100,000 Two years after Alabama JobLink (AJL) was launched in June 2005, the number of resumes available to employers has surpassed 89,000. AJL, the free job match Web site for the Alabama Career Center System, gives employers the opportunity to use the Internet to locate and hire new employees by posting job openings and accessing resumes posted by jobseekers. AJL also generates e-mails from resumes that match job orders. The Web site address is: JobLink.Alabama.gov. Access to Alabama Job Link is available 24 hours-a-day, seven days-a-week, including holidays. Employers have the option of “blind” job orders, in which case company information is hidden and jobseekers are referred to a local career center, or they may provide contact information online. Alabama JobLink has the flexibility of launching searches statewide, for a particular geographic area, for an individual county, or for multiple counties. There are no fees associated with AJL for employers, as well as jobseekers. In order to register on the Web site, choose Create an Employer Account and follow instructions to create a user name and password; enter company information; create job orders; and review resumes. The registration process takes approximately 15 minutes. If you have difficulty during any step, an e-mail address is provided to request assistance. Confirmation that an employer account has been approved will be received within 72 hours. Anyone who accesses Alabama JobLink may also link to the Industrial Relations Web site, as well as other state government sites. Alabama JobLink provides total security through firewalls, password usage, and session timeouts during periods of inactivity by users. |
