The Mining and Reclamation Division is responsible for administering statewide programs in Abandoned Mine Land Reclamation, Mine Safety and Inspection, and Surface Mining of Non- Fuel Minerals. The mission of this division is to ensure compliance with mine safety and non- fuel mining requirements and to restore land and water resources which have been adversely affected by past mining practices.
