Funding Received Through the Stimulus Program
Expansion of Trade Adjustment Assistance Program –
The ARRA includes a major expansion and reform of this program to ensure that all U.S. workers negatively affected by trade have the skills, resources and support to gain new employment. |

Extension of Emergency Unemployment Compensation Program –
The ARRA provided for additional benefits under this program for those who qualify through an extension of the period of eligibility. |

Increase in Unemployment Compensation Benefits –
The ARRA provided for $25 weekly supplement to the unemployment compensation of eligible claimants. |

Special Transfer for Unemployment Compensation Administration –
The ARRA provided for this “special transfer” to each state to be used for certain administrative services. Currently DIR is using the transfer for the following allowable services: the improvement of UC benefit and tax operations, including responding to increased demand for UC; and staff-assisted reemployment services for UC claimants. |

State Unemployment Insurance and Employment Service Operations –
The ARRA provided for additional employment and training workforce funding to greatly increase the capacity of the workforce system to serve workers in need. |

Interest Free Load
for Trust Fund Deficit -
Advance under Title XII, SSA - Temporarily waives interest payments on advances
to state unemployment funds until December 31, 2010. |
