Corporate officers
and members of a limited liability company may choose annually
to exclude themselves from coverage for workers’ compensation by filing notice of
the election with the department and the employer’s insurance carrier. Thereafter,
at the end of any calendar year, any previously excluded officer or member may revoke
the exclusion and
accept coverage by filing notice of the election to revoke in the same manner as described above.
The certification for exclusion
or inclusion will become effective on the first day of the calendar month following
the notice.
