What Is EDI?

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) involves the computer-to-computer exchange of data between companies and Alabama. EDI allows paper forms to be replaced by automated electronic transactions that are more efficient, leave less room for errors and virtually eliminates mailing costs. Currently, the following EDI applications are available:

What is a Trading Partner?

A trading partner (Sender) is a business entity who has established a relationship with Alabama Workers’ Compensation Division to electronically report claim data. This entity may be an Insurance Carrier (Insurer), Self-Insured, Third Party Administrator (TPA) or servicing agent/vendor.
